Yesterday, our Oga On Top wore a dark mien,
reddened eyes and a black bowler hat
With the gravity of a mourner he
dribbled this ichor from both sides of his mouth:
“The leopard previously known as Leopard
shall now be simply known as Wily Fox.
See? Leopard is bleached clean
his tummy tucked in his appetite
reined in his snout chiseled in
and is in fact now: Just Wily Fox.”
We adorned our noses with twitches
painted our mouths the colour of mirth
and nodded acquiescence
Bleach, tuck, hem as our Oga did – hard he did –
Leopard, now Just Wily Fox, never quite lost
its many dark splotches of black.
